On Wednesday, November 23, 2016 from 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. CST, the UNI eLearning System will be UNAVAILABLE for maintenance to install application and database server patches. These are patches for the servers that the UNI eLearning System runs on. There are no changes to the UNI eLearning (Blackboard Learn) software.

UNI Faculty and Instructors: The Educational Technology and Media Services (ETMS) department will offer faculty listening sessions to provide feedback about the services they offer. They are specifically interested in your input on the UNI eLearning System (Blackboard) as we look to review this system for a possible change by Fall 2018!  Come prepared to share your ideas on how IT-ETMS can best meet your technology needs. Sessions are scheduled for November 7, 8, 9, 14, and 17.

All sessions will be facilitated by faculty members, held in the Library 287, and are limited to 12 seats! Registration is required, You can register at: http://goo.gl/G5elH

Turnitin will have a scheduled system maintenance on Nov 5, 2016 from 8:00:00 AM to 1:00:00 PM CDT. Due to the maintenance Turnitin may be briefly unavailable between those times.

Lynda.com will be UNAVAILABLE for maintenance from 11:00 p.m. CDT on Friday, October 21,  2016 thru 4:00 a.m. CDT on Saturday, October 22, 2016. During this maintenance window, you and your learners will be unable to access Lynda.com.

On Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. CDT, the UNI eLearning System will be UNAVAILABLE for maintenance as operating system (OS) patches are installed on the eLearning database server. There are no changes to the UNI eLearning (Blackboard Learn) software.

The outage was resolved at 2:45 a.m. CDT. We will continue to investigate to try to find the core cause of the outage.

This maintenance has been canceled as it was discovered the patches do not apply to our OS version.

A few reminders for the start of the semester...

All: Login instructions for UNI users are located at: https://www.uni.edu/elearning/login-instructions-all-uni-users

Instructors: You must make your UNI eLearning course available to students in order for them to have access to it. Information and directions are located at: https://www.uni.edu/elearning/how-do-i-make-my-bb-learn-9-courses-available-students

Students: Use of the UNI eLearning system is based on the instructor's discretion. Although all UNI courses have an eLearning course, the Instructor must make that course available for students to have access. Students will have access only to the course(s) in which they are officially registered and the Instructor has made the eLearning site available. If you do not see a course listed, please contact the Instructor of the course(s) to see if they are using the UNI eLearning System and if they have made their eLearning course available to students.

The UNI eLearning System along with other UNI systems (UNI websites, MyUNIverse, etc.) were NOT AVAILABLE for 3 hours, from 11:42 p.m. CDT on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 through 2:42 a.m. CDT on Wednesday, August 10, 2016. IT-Network & Infrastructure Services is investigating the network issue that caused the outage. The UNI eLearning System was still running; however end users could not access it nor most UNI web resources. We apologize for the inconveniences this outage has caused.
