Tours of the UNI Biology Botanical Center offer preK-12 students and teachers an opportunity to see, smell and touch a distinct collection of plant species from around the world. Guided tours are typically 30 to 45 minutes long and can be tailored to a particular ecosystem.

Much of the flora gracing the campus grounds is raised at the UNI Greenhouse, which was established in the 1930s. A recent renovation added space for classrooms and offices. The greenhouse is open during the day for a walk through and is home to Amazon, the iguana.
