A master's in mathematics is available with emphases on mathematics, secondary teaching and community college teaching emphasis. The mathematics emphases are available on the thesis and non-thesis options. A minimum of 36 semester hours, including 6 hours of MATH 6299, is required for the thesis option; a minimum of 32 semester hours, including 2 hours of MATH 6299, is required for the non-thesis option. Successful completion of a research paper and a set of comprehensive examinations is required for the non-thesis option. The secondary teaching and community college teaching emphases are offered on a non-thesis option only and require a minimum of 32 semester hours. Coursework for the secondary teaching and community college teaching emphasis programs are completed online during the academic year. This program does not lead to a secondary mathematics endorsement.

  • Community College Teaching Emphasis (Hybrid) - This program is not eligible for you to receive immigration documents.
  • Mathematics: Secondary Teaching Emphasis (Hybrid) - This program is not eligible for you to receive immigration documents.
