System Center Configuration Management
About System Center Configuration Manager
Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, or Config Manager or SCCM for short, is a systems management and asset intelligence platform designed to reduce the total cost of ownership for desktops and servers across the enterprise. By leveraging Active Directory, Config Manager can deploy software, push out operating system images, install necessary patches and updates, and provide in-depth information on workstations throughout your organization.
Interested in using SCCM in your department/division/college? Please contact Ben Arnold or Chris Conklin to get your access set up on the SCCM server. Once you have received confirmation that your access has been set up, contact Ben Arnold to schedule a two hour one-on-one SCCM overview session to review best practices and how the system is set up here at UNI.
Config Manager Support
If you are a current user of SCCM on campus and need support or advice, please first browse the support articles on this website and if your question is still not answered, please contact Ben Arnold or Chris Conklin.
There is also a Config Manager support email list set up on campus that you can utilize to query the entire SCCM user community. Someone may have already encountered and overcome the issue that you are dealing with. Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
