The UNI Math Club held its first meeting August 29th, 2018 and their first activity was "Butterfly Bombs", by Dr.

Wright Hall celebrated it's 100th Anniversary on October 7, 2017 with a program at 10:00 am. The ceremony also included the naming of WRT 105 in honor of Emeritus Professor of Mathematics, Dr. Agusta L. Schurrer and WRT 217 in honor of Emeritus Professor of Mathematics Education, Dr. Bonnie H.

Ambassador Mark Lippert visited the Kyungpook National University (South Korea) campus to discuss U.S.-Korea cooperation in higher education. Two UNI students, Samuel Kapler and Nicole Hegewald are participating in a month-long special summer program at KNU; both are secondary education majors
