CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa will host Thomas SchnÃ¶ll, Consul General of Austria in Chicago, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 30, in the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center lobby.
SchnÃ¶ll will present his lecture, "The Future of the Eurozone: The European Project at a Crossroads," which will discuss the role of smaller European states in the debt crisis. SchnÃ¶ll earned a master's degree in law from Johannes Kepler University and attended the Ã‰cole Nationale d'Administration. Prior to taking up his current position heading Austria's mission in Chicago, he served in the Austrian Embassy in Paris, the Permanent Representation of Austria to the European Union in Brussels, and the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs in Vienna.
