Celebrating our graduating Panthers

Our graduating seniors found a place where they belonged at the University of Northern Iowa. Their tireless academic preparation, strong relationships with faculty and other students, and wide variety of out-of-class experiences have helped create a strong foundation for their future. These are but a few of our promising spring graduates:

“I owe everything I have today to UNI.”

“The professors I’ve had the opportunity to know not only helped me enhance the tangible knowledge I would need in my career, but also the intangible skills that would set me apart and take me far. The classes I took helped me identify my passion of leadership and the supply chain industry. The experiences I have had in class, campus organizations and leadership positions have prepared me to be an effective leader.”

“There are a variety of reasons I believe students should choose UNI. At UNI, a student is more than a number; they are welcomed into the Panther family as an important individual. The professors take the time to know your name and your story. The classes are small enough to discuss the topics together and apply real-world examples. They offer unique experiences that set you apart in the real world, such as working with organizations in the community. You truly are set up for success as a student.”

Cassie Sells

Cassie Sells

Major(s): Movement and Exercise Science
Post-Graduation Plans: Pursuing a master’s degree in occupational therapy at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

“When I first visited UNI, the campus was beautiful and easy to navigate, but most importantly everyone I encountered was very welcoming and approachable. I came from a small high school, so UNI seemed big enough to take me out of my comfort zone but still feel like home.”

“The faculty in the KAHHS department created projects that forced me to think in creative ways and get me involved with members of the community. I now have a lot more confidence in my ability to work with a diverse range of people.”

“The faculty and staff have always been very helpful to me. Whether I needed help from Financial Aid, Academic Advising or the Registrar, I always felt they took their time and personally cared about my needs.”
