Student Experiences

Here are some testimonials from UNI study abroad participants!

Marissa Ward: "Traveling to Australia provided me with an enormous amount of opportunities to travel through and experience a new country. After graduation I plan to return to and live in Australia for an extended period of time. The laid back culture and wide variety of landscapes make me fall in love with the land down under."

Jenae: "One of my favorite things about studying abroad is how many new people I have met and how many friends I’m going to have across the world. It’s amazing how easily it is to bond with someone who has lived a completely different life than you. I really like learning about the day to day life in other cultures and hearing what they think of the United States."

Cody: "Studying abroad in Oviedo, Spain has been an amazing experience. I have learned so much about the Spanish culture, lifestyle, and the importance of being culturally aware in our modern-day world. This experience has helped form me into a more confident, aware, and qualified Spanish speaker."

Pedro: "I chose to study abroad because as a fashion student, it is important to gain perspectives on the global market. Italy was my top choice because it is historically famous for their high quality textiles and leathers. I definitely recommend studying abroad to anyone who is considering it. I immediately fell in love with the Italian people, foods, and historical sights."

Nicolette: "I decided to study abroad to complete my Spanish minor and improve my fluency in the language. It’s been an amazing experience so far, and I’ve gotten to meet a lot of cool people and see some amazing places."
