Tuesday, April 11, 2017 - 6:00 pm

Visiting artist Tom Curry will present a tuba recital with faculty artist Polina Khatsko, piano. Tom Curry is the Adjunct Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Music. He is currently the tubist in the Wisconsin Brass Quintet, a faculty ensemble-in-residence at the School of Music, and has performed with the Joffrey Ballet, the Chicago Philharmonic, the Madison Symphony Orchestra, the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra, the Ars Viva Symphony, and many other orchestras. He has also appeared with numerous rock and popular acts, including Foster the People and Chicago-based punk marching band Mucca Pazza. This event is free and open to the public. 

Tuesday, April 11, 2017 - 8:00 pm

UNI School of Music faculty artist Dmitri Vorobiev will present a piano recital. This will be Vorobiev’s tenth recital in a series of performances at UNI capturing all of Beethoven’s piano works. This event is free and open to the public. 

Wednesday, April 12, 2017 - 6:00 pm

Students from the UNI trombone studio will present a recital under the direction of professor Anthony Williams. This event is free and open to the public.

Wednesday, April 12, 2017 - 8:00 pm

Coordinated by UNI School of Music faculty artists, student musicians will offer a chamber music concert. This event is free and open to the public.

Thursday, April 13, 2017 - 8:00 pm

The UNITUBA Ensembles, from the tuba/euphonium studio at UNI, will offer a spring recital under the direction of faculty artist Jesse Orth. This event is free and open to the public.

Thursday, April 13, 2017 - 8:00 pm

Faculty artist Amanda McCandless, clarinet, will present a recital with repertoire to be announced. This event is free and open to the public.

Friday, April 14, 2017 - 12:15 pm

Members of the UNI Cantorei, Wind Symphony and Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra will collaborate under the direction of conductor John Len Wiles to present this performance as part of the Northern Iowa Bach Cantata Series. This event is free and open to the public.

Friday, April 14, 2017 - 6:00 pm

Faculty artist Heather Peyton will coordinate the spring UNI Oboe Studio recital. Faculty artist Robin Guy, piano, will collaborate. This event is free and open the public. 

Friday, April 14, 2017 - 8:00 pm

Visiting artist Edisher Savitski will present a piano recital. Savitski has been appearing as a soloist with: Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, Utah Symphony, Pacific Symphony among many others, and has been performing at prestigious venues worldwide. He currently serves on the faculty at the University of Alabama. This event is free and open to the public. 

Monday, April 17, 2017 - 7:30 pm

The UNI Jazz Band III will present a spring concert under the direction of Chris Merz and graduate student conductors. This event is free and open to the public. 

Tuesday, April 18, 2017 - 8:00 pm

Under the direction of UNI percussion faculty Ryan Frost and Matthew Andreini, the UNI Percussion and West African Drum Ensembles will offer their final spring concert along with UNI’s Taiko drum ensemble Kaji-Daiko and the UNI Marimba Ensemble. This event is free and open to the public.

Wednesday, April 19, 2017 - 8:00 pm

Coordinated by professor of composition and theory Jonathan Schwabe, UNI School of Music student composers will showcase their work in this spring recital. This event is free and open to the public. 

Thursday, April 20, 2017 - 6:00 pm

Faculty artist Melinda Boyd will present a lecture-recital, collaborating with colleagues Jean McDonald, mezzo-soprano and Robin Guy, piano. This event is free and open to the public.

Thursday, April 20, 2017 - 7:30 pm

Under the direction of faculty artist and conductor Robert Washut, the UNI Jazz Panthers will offer a spring concert. This event is free and open to the public.

Friday, April 21, 2017 (All day) to Monday, April 24, 2017 (All day)
