Information Literacy for Graduate Students: Everything a Graduate Student Should Know Before Starting a Research Project

Leila Rod-Welch, library, will present information on how to find books and scholarly articles using the library's website and Interlibrary Loan, and utilize the library's advanced search capabilities to access Catalog, One Search!, numerous subject databases and Google Scholar through your UNI subscription. Information on the Liaison Librarian Services, Rod Library's one-on-one consultation services will also be presented. 

Professional Communication Workshop: Building Effective Telephone and Email Skills

Using professional deveopment and email skills are vital in your career development, whether it be communicating with faculty or applying for internships or employment opportunities. Presented by Deb Young, Languages and Literatures, attendees will learn how to transition and develop these communication skills from your role as a student to a professional. You never get a second chance to make a first impresssion!
