Live Like a Student classes

Live Like a Student is a free three-week non-credit course that will allow students to explore the concepts of personal budgeting, investing and saving, credit and credit cards, financial aid and identity protection. Courses are offered at a variety of times. Students will receive a Live Like a Student T-shirt as well as the chance to win a $500 scholarship. Space is limited; registration is required.

Facilitator David Grant, languages and literatures, will examine how a “good” argument may not be because of its reliance on “truth” but because of its reliance on certain “practices.” Participants are encouraged to bring one argumentative/ rhetorical assignment to work on during the session. Optional reading here.

Northern Iowa Bach Cantata Series Performance

Guest Recital: Annette Richards, organ

Friday, March 3, 2017 - 6:00 pm

Visiting artist Annette Richards will present an organ recital. Richards specializes in music of the Italian and North German Baroque, and has played concerts on numerous historic and modern instruments in Europe and the United States. She also regularly performs music from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, and has won prizes in international competitions including the 1992 Dublin International Organ Competition and first prize for organ duo with David Yearsley at the Bruges Early Music Festival in 1994. She is currently on the faculty at Cornell University. This event is free and open to the public.
