Scholarships for High School Study Abroad

Posted on September 24, 2015

The U.S. Department of State is now offering three merit-based scholarship programs for high school students interested in studying abroad. These scholarships will cover a student’s airfare, tuition, meal, living, and program costs. Specific information about the different programs and application deadlines can be found at each of the respective websites: The National Security Language Initiative for Youth, The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Abroad Program, and The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program. The best news about these scholarships is that no language prerequisites are set in place. Be sure to share these amazing opportunities to travel with students at your school!
