University Counsel

Welcome to the Office of University Counsel at the University of Northern Iowa.  Our office serves as the chief legal officer for the university, providing legal opinions, advice, and assistance to all university departments.  We advise the university on a variety of legal matters that arise within a higher education and employment context.  We represent the University of Northern Iowa, in conjunction with the State of Iowa Attorney General.  This includes individual employees in matters arising from their employment at the university.

We do not provide legal advice and services on personal matters to employees, faculty, students, or other members of the university community.  Any material presented on this website is for informational purposes only and is not to be considered legal advice.
