Research at UNI is not reserved for graduate students – expect to get to work, alongside your UNI professors, shortly after you arrive on campus. Research isn’t just done in labs, either. It can take many forms, from experiments in psychology to marketing studies, to scholarly projects in literature or history. You’ll get the chance to not only see what research is really like, and whether it’s for you, but also add impressive experience to your resume.

Employers get to partner with motivated students to meet their needs, and students are able to explore career options, gain real-world experience and make professional connections. Each year, employers recruit UNI talent for 17,000+ internships. When it’s time to start exploring, turn to our Career Services office, which will assist you with resume and cover letter writing, search strategies, networking and more.

Because we live in a technical, ever-evolving world, we’re always rethinking technology education, placing emphasis on experiential, project-based learning. Find yourself completing research in computer science or mathematics or working within one of the nation’s largest academic foundries – our Metal Casting Center. Our campus is home to our Applied Engineering Building (AEB), which houses production labs and specialized classrooms, outfitted with the latest equipment.
