UNI campus will delay opening until 10 a.m., Friday, February 20
Due to extreme winter weather conditions, the University of Northern Iowa campus will delay the opening of campus until 10 a.m. on Friday, February 20. During this period of weather-related reduced operations, in-person classes will not meet.
Campus will open for normal business and in-person classes at 10 a.m.
Instructors for in-person classes may move classes to an online format with prior notification. Online/virtual classes will proceed as scheduled.

Updates on Class/University Cancellations
Whenever possible, the University will remain open during inclement weather. However, we encourage students, faculty and staff to use good judgment and avoid serious risks when traveling to and from campus. When classes are canceled or university offices closed, that information will be posted on the UNI home page. Additional information is available on the UNI weather cancellations policy web page.
Snow Removal
Grounds Services provides snow removal services for general-fund facilities, department of residence facilities, parking auxiliary facilities, event facilities and institutional roads. During the height of a major snow event, Grounds Service simultaneously provides service to its campus customers.

Every building has areas designated as "Severe Weather Shelters". Make sure you know where the designated areas are in your buildings: Emergency Shelter areas for all campus buildings
