Pre-Nursing

Join one of the fastest-growing occupations.

Nursing is a rewarding career path, offering the chance to make an impact on the lives of patients. UNI can help you get on track to cover all the science and laboratory requirements needed for continued education in nursing.

It is important to note that pre-nursing is not an academic major; rather, a suggested program of study that prepares students with all the prerequisites needed to complete a bachelor's of science in nursing.

Coming fall 2024: UNI will offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Read more about this announcement and the proposed BSN degree.

Traditional Transfer Track Pre-Nursing

This track is for students planning to complete prerequisite coursework in preparation of applying to complete their Bachelor of Nursing Science (BSN) at a different institution. Students will have a pre-nursing advisor who assists with course registration and tracking progress towards applying to a nursing program. Most students in this track choose to apply to transfer to Allen College due to UNI's close relationship with this institution.
